Here at Andy Brook Golf at Cleveland Golf Club Pro Shop, we pride ourselves on being good listeners and aim to provide the best possible professional advice, whilst ensuring each lesson is tailored and enjoyable for you the golfer.
Why Coaching?
One to One Coaching
Personal one-to-one coaching tailored to the individual. The emphasis is always to start with the basics making sure players have to right tools to take their swing to the course.
If it's improving your grip, curing a slice, gaining a few yards from the tee or holing more putts, one-to-one sessions can offer a structured way to gain results.
All our one-to-one sessions include instant video analysis and range balls.

Learn and Practice
Longer sessions in a small group. Get more out of each session. For the price of a single one-to-one session you will get 2 hours of coaching and practice.
In a small group of no more than 4 golfers, you will not only get your coaching session but also immediate assisted practice to help progress your development. Coaching is tailored to each individual of the group and utilizes instant video playback analysis.
Each 2-hour session includes balls on the driving range, with a minimum of 3 players and at set times.

Group Coaching
Learn with your like-minded golfers. Group coaching offers a friendly, social and informative route into golf. Our group sessions are open to players of all abilities and cover different aspects of the swing, shots and playing the course.
We have various Group Coaching courses throughout the year including:
Get Into Golf, Short Game Workshop, Ladies Introductory and Back To Golf.
Group Coaching courses are on set dates and times. All sessions include range balls.
New courses, dates and costs will be posted in the near future.
Junior Academy
Cleveland Golf Club and ANDYBROOK.GOLF offers a safe and friendly environment for youngsters of all ages and abilities to learn and play golf. All coaches and staff involved with our Junior Academy are fully trained and have DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid certificates.
Junior Golf Classes (for all ages)
Our Junior golf classes are based on the Golf Foundations, Junior Golf Passport. Classes are over 6 weeks and cover different topics each week including the swing, different shots, golf knowledge and the basic rules. Youngsters are encouraged to play and practice outside of the classes and to help with this FREE CLUB MEMBERSHIP is offered for the first year while being involved in the classes.
Classes are based generally on age and ability, but with the ever-demanding world of time and opportunity to play other sports youngsters can change days and times if spaces permit.
No equipment is required as we have a bank of clubs to use, training shoes and casual clothing are cool.
All range balls are included in each session.

Andrew Brook - Head PGA Professional
Winning the Bunny Rabbit Trophy at my local club was the catalyst to a future I've not regretted. As a Qualified PGA Professional of 40 years I've been lucky to experience all the aspects of the job. As a young aspiring professional you want to play golf and compete with the best. Fortunately reality kicked in and directed me in a more realistic direction. Coaching and club life has been my lot for the last 40 years. I cannot count how many people of all ages I've introduced to our great game over that time and hopefully how many I've still got to introduce. As the Head Professional at Cleveland Golf Club with the fantastic facilities they have to offer I have the opportunity to help golfers of all standards to improve their game and with a great team around me, offer a service that can only help golfers get more enjoyment out of their game.
Darren Grey - PGA Assistant Professional
I joined the team at Cleveland golf club in September 2023. Golf has been a passion of mine since a young age of 12 the pride of my youth was getting my first hole in one at age 13. Over the years I have represented Club, County and England around the World participating in amateur and professional levels in golf tournaments for disabled players and able-bodied players, winning 2 World titles in 2010 and 2022. My ability to play golf at elite levels over the years and completing a Professional golf studies degree has helped me gain knowledge into the psychology and golf swing at more in depth levels which I hope to pass on through teaching to help improve golfers of all abilities to play better golf. In 2023 I became a fully qualified PGA Professional which has given me more variety to work in the industry in retail, club building, custom fitting, and coaching.
Andy Potter - Pro Shop Team
Hi, I am Andy Potter otherwise known as “cant chip…. wont chip” ! I relocated to Redcar from down south (Buckinghamshire) almost 2 years ago along with my wife Lucia and the dog (Harry Potter ??). Much of my career was involved around IT Cloud Sales and have been a club golfer for 25 plus years, now semi-retired and hoping to get the best advice on how to chip. I joined the team at Cleveland Pro Shop in January 2024, really looking forward to getting to know our great members at the club and helping them with any requirements in the Pro Shop.
